Oahu: Morning Day 2

Of course we were up the first few mornings before the sunrise. It took a minute to acclimate to the new time zone. I'm not sorry about that at all. We were well rewarded for it!

It was so calming and peaceful. I could have sat there all day long.

All the skies were awash with color. It was an amazing morning for sure.

It didn't matter which way we looked, the view was breathtaking.

Too beautiful for words.

Our deck faced east so we had the best light shows in the morning.

You know I am a sucker for pink clouds!!

Soon after the sun was up we decided to take a walk on the beach. The water was a little colder than I expected...but definitely not cold. It was a beautiful morning.

Such an explorer. He loves to look around and find creepy crawlies and such.

My jammies!! Of course it was in the 70's in the morning but with the humidity it was a tad chilly.

All these sand hills are next to crab holes. There were hundreds of them.

There was a crab in this hole one second before I took this pic. They can sure move fast!

And what would the morning be without a selfie! 

Then we went to the grocery store and came back and played in the water. But that is a story for another day.

Oahu: Day 1

It took a long time to get here but we finally made it.

We were greeted by a beautiful rainbow. After the LONGEST flight ever it was a welcome sight.

We made an impromptu stop at the Dole pineapple plantation. It was fun and we got to have a treat!!

The Dole Whip was just what we needed to kick this vacation off right!! Bonus here was it's dairy free so Jim didn't have to worry about getting sick!! 

Then we found the house we were to be staying at. It sits a little off the road so it is RIGHT ON THE OCEAN!!

 This view is from the deck. We spent a lot of time sitting in the sun watching the waves. It was so perfect.

 We were so excited to finally be there. We were also exhausted. It was a long day of travel and switching time zones (Oahu is 4 hours ahead of SLC).

 The boys wanted to get a closer view of the ocean. They went to the gate and headed for the stairs.

 Jim got brave and put his feet in. The wave came up fast and got him all wet!! Welcome to Hawaii. It was perfect!!

 He ran back up the stairs and we watched the ocean until it was time for bed.

 So perfect.

The reef kept the big waves at bay but provided the perfect place to snorkel. The water was really shallow for a long way out. 

 The perfect spot to sit and watch. I found it to be mesmerizing.

 I couldn't wait to see what the next day had in store. 

Flat Cooper

In Cooper's class they read the book "Flat Stanley". It's about a kid that draws a picture of himself and then it goes on adventures and learns about different places (or something like that). So Cooper drew a pic of himself and sent it to me so he could learn a little about the Salt Lake Area. I took a pic of the snow covered mountains.

And then I took Flat Cooper to the gym with me.

Because that is a big part of my life!!

And we had a great work out!!

Then we played at the park. We had a lot of fun there!!

Michael did too!!

And we went to the new grocery store. We seem to be there a lot.

Sometimes we even bring a snack. (Our Smith's does offer a piece of fruit ((from the designated bin)) to little kids needing a snack.)

I hope Flat Cooper enjoyed seeing what I do all day. 

It was very entertaining for me as well..... ;)

My Easter Dress

This is my outfit for Easter. I bought this skirt (and a few others) from Bizzy Sewing. She is a gal in AZ with an online shop. I love her skirts and now have 5 or 6.

I was getting a pic of it to send her and Michael wanted to practice his "cheeeeezzzz".

Then we took a pic before church started. We like to keep him entertained!!

I just can't get enough of this boy!!

Darla

My old friend Darla. She is the funniest little thing. She is sure she is the queen.

She is the best popcorn catcher there ever was.

And just an all around snuggler. Most days I really like this old girl. 

All Day

In case I haven't shown you what I do all day...here is a quick glimpse.

I chase this boy around hoping he'll let me snuggle him.

Or take a train ride around the mall with him....

While watching a movie.

When Cylie was here she loved practicing her reading skills on Michael. He didn't mind too much!! Michael likes to read and has a few memorized to "read" to us.

Michael loves to color and does it where ever he can.

Darla and Cylie are the best of friends. Darla stayed UNDER Cylie's legs for her entire two hour nap. 

He likes to hide in the bushes (or in the pantry or behind the couch) and jump out and yell "SURPRISE" to us all.

Everyone needs a snuggle buddy. Whenever Michael gets a blanket Darla is sure to follow.

He is a whiz at running our phones. He is getting better at taking pictures too.

Auntie Kim chased after him at the park while Abby watched the rest of us play kickball. It was so much fun!! They had fun too!!

Darla likes the exciting parts of Dumbo. She lets those tigers know who's boss!!

At church coloring to stay quiet. He's such a good boy!!

Kevin and Michael on Easter with their matching ties. How I love these boys!

Michael loves to do whatever we are doing. So when he asks to help clean, who am I to stop him!!

Mommy got to ride the train at the mall too. Whatever it takes to make him smile...it's what we love to do.

Snapchat is a fun was to send silly pics. We love it!!

So now you know what we do all day. I love this life and I wouldn't change a thing!!
