The Flood

About a year to the day from when we had the wood floors installed (Memorial Day 2015) we discovered there had been a leak from the waterline to the fridge. We had a solid month of NO flooring. It was awful. Before they ripped out my relatively new floor we had almost two weeks of GIANT fans and a dehumidifier. But I can't find my pics of the chaos so you'll just have to imagine.

The sound of them tearing up my floor was heart wrenching.

Most of the damage was contained to the kitchen/pantry and the hall to the front door. But since we were in chaos we decided to replace the family room carpet.

Here are just a few of the fans that we had running. Let me tell you....it was LOUD!! It wore on our nerves really fast.

But now that it's all back together it looks like normal and the hell it seemed to be is a vague memory. Thank goodness!!

And Again

Our life seems so normal. We love having the Readers here. We love the bonds that are being strengthened. Michael is growing and changing so fast. I went to check on him during his nap and couldn't see him anywhere.

Then I looked under the blankets and found his sweaty, sleeping body. I love this little boy.

My Darla. Takes every chance she can to get snuggles in.

Ah sidewalk chalk. Both a blessing and a curse!!

He watches us so closely. We have to do poop patrol (obviously) frequently and he thinks it might be fun to help out...for now. Give him a few years and he probably won't be so excited for it!!

Michael LOVES Bridger and Cylie. They are probably his favorite people. And they seem to like him too. Which works out well for everyone!!

This is my uncle Bryce. Probably my favorite uncle. He and my Mom were very much alike. We got to go to Jodi's (his daughter) wedding this summer. But then the next time we saw him (not long after) it was for Aunt Chris's funeral. She was such a beautiful, loving woman. She left a huge hole in the lives of so many.

I get to hang with this girl a whole lot now that I live in Utah. Definitely a BIG perk!!

I love snapchats of my family. They make me happy!

Have I told you she isn't allowed on the couch.

Michael wanted to help his dad with some homework. Looks like it's working!!

Catching Up...Again

Do you take selfies in the bathroom at church? I do! As the secretary of the Primary I am in the hall A LOT. So I admit to getting bored once in a while. What's a girl to do!!

Newborn Photo Shoot

Our friend from Blackfoot, Ashlee Parkinson, took some photos of our sleeping babe.

He is just the cutest little guy. I love him so much.

Abby's Mimi made this caterpillar suit for him. I LOVE the way it turned out. 

He is growing and changing so fast. I love his easy nature. He is content most of the time and even when he is wet or hungry he doesn't demand you fix it for him. He just asks very quietly and waits for you to get to him. He is so loved.

He Keeps Growing

He just keeps growing and growing. I tell him to slow down a little...but he isn't listening.

He is finding his hands. It is so fun to watch.

This was his favorite binki for a bit. Now he prefers the smaller, more traditional binkis.

When I get the rare treat of having both the boys close enough to me for a picture Michael will tell me, "Look Rackie, you has boff yooz boys!"

Kevin, Michael and Ethan all look a little bit alike. Two of these babies are Kevin. Can you guess which ones?

Ethan sleeps like his daddy. He likes his arms over his head and one leg sticking out. I had him all bundled up and he squirmed and fussed and wiggled until he got this tiny leg out. Then he fell fast asleep. I can't really blame him. I like my foot sticking out too!

More to Love

I am way behind. Life got really busy and for a while I was just holding Ethan or playing with Michael. Very little of anything else happened...for real.

Michael has been so excited to be a big brother. Almost as excited as his daddy was way back when Jimi Jo was born. They both really loved holding their babies. Those big grins tell it all.

I know Jo misses her boys. I sure wish we all lived closer.

They even pull the same faces in pictures. Funny boys!!

Ethan LOVES to watch Michael. He is very interested in everything he does.

Even watching Daniel Tiger's neighborhood is must see TV.

Jo and Ethan....I can't wait for her to get to know him.

He is so beautiful. We have loved having him here in our home. He brings a little bit of Heaven with him and we all can feel it.
